Course availability and restrictions

  • Exchange students have access to courses at Bachelor and/or Masters level (prerequisites may be required)
  • Masters courses are advanced and students should have required background and very good language competency
  • Restricted programs not available to exchange students: School of Government programs; EU Studies Master; One year Master programs; School of Journalism programs; Post-graduate and PhD courses; LUISS Business School; MBA Programs

Transfer credit

The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction

  • Wide range of courses in English available at undergraduate and graduate levels
  • Students with at least B1 or B2 level may take Italian-taught courses (To determine your level, please use this self-assessment: European Language Portfolio Global Scale)
  • Italian language crash courses available in September and February
  • Extensive Italian language classes at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels are available for exchange students (one/both semesters) free of charge
