About Global Ambassadors
Global Ambassadors are past participants of Go Global programs—such as Exchange, Global Seminars, Summer Abroad, and Research Abroad—who are passionate about international learning. They play a vital role in supporting and inspiring fellow UBC students by sharing their experiences, offering guidance, and helping others feel confident and prepared for their own global journeys.

- Start Date: Late August 2025
- End Date: Late April 2026
- Time Commitment: 2 hours/week

Responsibilities & duties
Role Summary
As a Go Global Ambassador, you’ll help inspire and prepare fellow UBC students to embark on their own international learning journeys. You'll represent the Go Global program, share your experience, and connect with students through events, social media, and peer support. This is a unique opportunity to grow as a leader, communicator, and intercultural connector on campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Mentor prospective Go Global students by sharing your personal international learning experience.
- Raise campus awareness of Go Global through booths, information sessions and various events.
- Participate in Pre-Departure sessions and serve on peer panels.
- Provide support during application drop-in sessions.
- Co-facilitate Go Global info sessions alongside staff or fellow ambassadors.
- Write a Global Exchange Insider post highlighting your exchange experience for Go Global’s website and social media.
- Engage with students on the Go Global UBC Pre-Departure Canvas Modules by answering questions and sharing insights.
- Lead campus tours for visiting partner institutions when needed.
Who can apply?
- Current UBC Vancouver students who will be enrolled during the 2025–2026 academic year
- Students who have participated in a Go Global program (e.g., Exchange, Summer Abroad, Research Abroad, Global Seminars)
