About International Learning Awards
Over $1.4 million is awarded annually through scholarships and awards to UBC students participating in Go Global international learning programs.
Students who are eligible for awards (see specific criteria below) may receive one UBC or UBC-affiliated international learning award. Students are always offered the highest-value award that they are eligible for. Unless otherwise indicated, all students must meet eligibility criteria set out by the University Senate regarding awards. Most undergraduate students who earn scholarships and other merit-based awards are required to meet the minimum credit load and academic performance criteria, according to the Regulations Governing University Awards. However, there are some special circumstances in which exceptions apply.
Additional application details (if any) can be found by clicking the award names below.
Unless otherwise indicated, awards are available to students at both UBC Vancouver and UBC Okanagan. For students unable to meet the award criteria, please contact your Enrolment Services Advisor to discuss your situation. Students with extenuating circumstances that meant that they could not achieve the required credit level or grades may be eligible to submit an appeal after the award has been adjudicated.
You can find your Enrolment Services Advisor in Workday. If you do not have an advisor, please email funding.abroad@ubc.ca.
Students will only be considered for one major International Learning Award throughout their degree (e.g., ARA, Choquette, One World, Premier, or any award valued at $2000+).
