Who can go?

Travel to Israel  is not currently permitted, the current advisory level is level 3: “Avoid non-essential travel.” UBC uses the Government of Canada’s travel advisories to assess the risk level of a destination.  As per UBC’s Student Safety Abroad policy, students are not permitted to travel to Level 3 and 4 destinations unless exceptional circumstances exist.

  • UBC Term 1 (Technion Winter Semester): late October to early February (exams period: early February to mid March)
  • UBC Term 2 (Technion Spring Semester): mid March to mid July (exam period: mid July to mid August)

  • 20 Technion Credits = 15 UBC credits

Course load Information

  • Recommended maximum: 15 Credit Points per Semester, selecting 4-5 courses from the Technion Course Catalogue

Transfer credit

The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)
