  • UBC Term 1 (Sciences Po Semester 1): Early September - Early January
  • UBC Term 2 (Sciences Po Semester 2): Mid January - Mid May

*Students who wish to attend only Term 1 may be able to arrange to take all exams before the December break and return for Term 2 at UBC

Transfer credit

The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction

  • Most coursework is offered in French, however English-speaking exchange students have the option to enroll in an English Track set of courses, as well as English courses at the Masters level when pre-requisites have been met
  • Students must have at least a B2 level to study in French (please self-assess with: European Language Portfolio Global Scale)
  • CUEF (Centre Universitaire d’Etudes Françaises) offers French courses from A1 to C2 level as well as tests and DELFDALF exams
