Who can go?
- Students must have a cumulative average of 75% to study at Koç University
- Exchange students can take coursework in most areas of study
- A one-week mandatory Orientation program is offered every semester (Fall and Spring) for the incoming exchange students (incluves a welcome dinner and a tour of Istanbul)
- The Koç Exchange Office assigns student mentors to each incoming exchange student, to help students understand life at Koç and in Türkiye and assist them in fulfilling the requirements of the program

Course load Information
- Students generally take five courses during the semester
- At Koç, in general, one course lasts 150 minutes in a week
- There are 17 weeks in a semester
Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction
- A Türkish Language & Society course is offered for non-native speakers each semester, free of charge (3 KU credits and 5 contact hours per week)
- Koc offers another course, designed for incoming exchange students, about Türkish Culture and History
