  • Exchange students can take coursework in most areas of study
  • Only COMM (UBCV) students are eligible to apply to the Bachelor in Business Administration program
  • Exchanges are available at the Segovia or Madrid campus

  • Students are required to register for at least 60% of credits in one of the above programs, being able to take up to 40% of their credits from a different study area (depending on availability and overlaps).
  • Determine whether the Madrid or Segovia campus aligns best with your area of study, based on your year of study during your exchange and the course offering on each campus, noted above.

  • ECTS credits divided by 2 = UBC credits

Transfer credit

The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Finances and funding

While you’re learning abroad, you remain a UBC student and are eligible for UBC awards, scholarships, and financial assistance.
