Course availability and restrictions
Incoming exchange students may take a variety of courses that cover different disciplines. Students are allowed to choose courses across all schools (except Clinical Medicine and all majors in School of Music) if they meet the pre-requisites and the space allows. Undergraduate courses are not offered to postgraduates and vice versa.
Course load Information
- CUHK(SZ) uses the credit unit system. Courses are generally worth 3 units/credits each
- Minimum: 9 units per term
- Maximum: 18 units per term
Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)
