About the program
The Camp will bring together outstanding students from our partner universities worldwide, offering them a unique opportunity to delve into Macao’s rich history, explore its captivating world heritage sites, and gain insights into its vibrant economy and blend of Eastern and Western cultures. The five-day program will be conducted in English, and students will have the opportunity to engage in seminars, site visits, and a wide range of cultural activities.
The Summer Camp is fee-waived; UM will cover on-campus accommodation (in shared rooms), local transportation, meals and activities expenses included in the program, while students are responsible for their round-trip traveling expenses, insurance and other personal expenses incurred outside the programme.
Full-time undergraduate students in any disciplines of study are eligible for the program.
Go Global will not charge any fees for this program. This program does not offer academic credit.
Unfortunately, there are no Go Global awards available for students participating in this program.
Apply by April 19
Log-in to Gateway at: http://ubc-horizons.symplicity.com/student , Go to “search experiences” from the top menu, search “macau” then press “apply search.” Scroll down to the “University of Macau Summer Camp for Outstanding Students” Program and select Apply for “Summer” to initiate an application. You will be asked to complete a few short-answer questions and sign-off on some important terms and conditions.
Two UBC students will be selected for this program and nominated to UM who will provide a formal acceptance and further details.
