Term dates
- UBC Term 1 (WU Fall Semester): Late September to Early February* (see note below)
- UBC Term 2 (WU Summer Semester): End of February to Mid July
*WU offers a large number of courses which end in mid-December for students who wish to attend Term 1 only and return to UBC in time for Term 2. Students selecting this option may need to be more flexible with their course selection.

- Maximum: 36 ECTS (plus one Business German language course)
Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction
- Wide range of courses offered in English at the undergraduate and graduate levels
- Students with at least a B2 level in German can take a wide variety of German-taught courses (to self-assess, please use the Common European Framework of Reference)
- Optional but recommended orientation program (Orientation and Cultural Program, pre-semester German language course) starts three weeks prior to the beginning of each semester
