- Exchange students can be admitted to masters courses if they meet the prerequisites based on the policy of each department
Course equivalency Formula
- ECTS credits divided by 2 = UBC credits
Course load Information
- Full time workload: 30 ECTS
- Minimum: 22,5 ECTS
- Maximum: 37,5 ECTS
Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction
- Opportunity to take an intensive beginners Swedish class before the beginning of term
- Depending on course selection and scheduling at Uppsala, students on exchange in Term 1 may be able to complete their exchange in December and return for Term 2. This is up to the student to plan through scheduling or arrangement with their professors. More information on course schedulding available here.
