- Exchange students can choose nearly all courses offered, in any department and any level
- Students do not have to take all the courses from a diploma or “unite d'enseignement” (block of courses)
- Unfortunately it is rare to find a description of the courses available
Course equivalency Formula
- ECTS credits divided by 2 = UBC credits
Course load Information
- 30 ECTS credits per semester
Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction
- There is a very limited number of courses taught in English
- Students must have at least a B2 level to study in French (To determine your level, please self-assess with: European Language Portfolio Global Scale)
- Students must be sufficiently proficient in French to be able to follow classes and complete coursework
