Term dates
- UBC Term 1 (Sorbonne semester 1): Early September to late December (Exams take place in January)
- UBC Term 2 (Sorbonne semester 2): Late January to May
- UBC Full Year (Sorbonne semester 1+2): September - May

Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)

Additional note for language of instruction
- All courses at the undergraduate level are offered in French
- Some classes at the Master's level are offered in English (fourth year students may be eligible to participate in first year Master's courses but the final decision is made by the department or faculty the student is applying to)
- It is recommended that even students taking courses in English have some French language ability in order to navigate the system
- The Office for Foreign Students in the International Relations Office runs French-language courses for foreign exchange students (more information here)
- Students must have at least a B2 level to study in French (To determine your level, please self-assess with: European Language Portfolio Global Scale)
