Course availability and restrictions
Students select four full unit year long courses (or the equivalent in half units) from the 300+ available each year. Detailed course guides can be found in the School’s Calendar. Students should read the information for ‘General Course’ students.
Whilst some courses have mid year (January) exams the vast majority are formally assessed just once at the end of the academic year, in May/June.

Transfer credit
The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)
Other opportunities at this partner
London School of Economics LSE International Summer School
British Universities Transnational Exchange Association (BUTEX)
Each year BUTEX awards a number of £500 scholarships to students studying abroad for a single semester or full academic year. The University of Leeds is a BUTEX member so incoming study abroad students applying to Leeds can submit a scholarship application.
BUTEX scholarships are awarded based on a calendar year and not an academic year. This means that students who are completing a full year of exchange that takes place across two calendar years will have two opportunities to apply, but each student can only win a BUTEX scholarship once.
