Who can go?

  • Law students must have a cumulative average of 73% to attend this partner. Students in all other faculties must have a cumulative average of 77% to attend this partner
  • Students can take coursework in most areas of study at King's
  • Please refer to the list of restricted departments on the King's website before applying to ensure that you can request modules in your preferred subject areas.
  • Please review the information on the King's University English Language Proficiency Requirements page. For nationals of countries that do not fall under the list of exempted countries, please refer to the undergraduate and postgraduate English language entry requirements under Band B. Students coming for the full academic year who require a Student Visa will need to provide a valid IELTS, TOEFL, Pearson or other approved international test listed under sections 1-4. This requirement is strict and cannot be waived. For semester 1 students who do not require a Student Visa, Admissions may request a letter from the student’s home university as proof of English proficiency if applicable. Admissions will provide the template which must be followed exactly. For questions, please contact your Go Global advisor.

Course availability and restrictions

  • Over 800 modules to choose from and a variety of specialty program pathways available to exchange students
  • Engineering, Architecture, Law (LLM) and Fine Arts are not available at KCL
  • Students considering study at King's are strongly encouraged to review their Module Options pageespecially the information around departments with restrictions
  • Students wishing to take modules within the Department of Psychology must be FULL-YEAR students, and take either the full suite of Level 4 (first year) or Level 5 (second year) modules, dependent on your prior academic experience. A member of academic staff within Psychology will review your university transcript to assess which level you should study at but typically, students with little or no Psychology background will take Level 4 modules, and students with at least one full year of Psychology on their transcript will take Level 5.
    • At Level 4, students must take 8 compulsory Psychology modules, and at Level 5, must take 6 compulsory Psychology modules, with a free choice of two modules from other faculties and departments across King’s
    • These courses are not currently on our module catalogue and students are considered on a case by case basis
  • Computer Science/Informatics is oversubscribed and students should not expect to obtain a full module load (60 King's Credits / 15 UBC Credits) within Informatics
  • 1. Academic Tracks: if you are interested in the Academic Track pathway, please indicate so in your statement of purpose for both Go Global and subsequent King's application (if applicable) - please note that the 'Global Health and Social Medicine' track has limited enrolment capacity
  • 2. Study Abroad Plus Internship Programme: currently only accepts applications from students with internship interests within the Liberal Arts and Cultural setting in keeping with the disciplines within the department that actually offers the module

Transfer credit

The transfer credit process takes approximately 16 weeks following each submission deadline. You should allow sufficient time to meet important deadlines that may affect you (e.g. application for graduation, registration in courses that require prerequisites that you took on exchange, entry to a major/honours program, etc.)
