About the program
Program dates: Six week session from May to July
DIS Summer gives you an opportunity to participate in research programs while experiencing life in Copenhagen or Stockholm (or both!) over the summer months. Go out to collect data in field and conduct experiments in the lab, collaborate with an international research community, or join a local startup and put your entrepreneurial skill to the test. Students applying to Research Abroad may only choose from the Research Assistant positions.
More specific and finalized program details can be found on the partner institution's website. However, you must apply through Go Global to be considered for this program.

Costs and funding
In addition to paying the Go Global fee, students are responsible for the cost of travel and living associated with participating in this program, including program fees.
Pre-Departure Policy
UBC is committed to preparing students for safe and successful international experiences. In order to achieve this, any student participating in a Go Global Program must complete the following:
- All UBC Student Safety Abroad requirements
- Go Global Program-specific pre-departure requirements
Failure to successfully complete these and any other requirements may result in withdrawal from the Go Global Program.

Transfer credit
UBC does not recognize credit for Research Abroad programs and does not grant transfer credit for these experiences. If a partner university offers credit for your Research Abroad program, save the transcript or certificate of completion for your future records.
