About the program

SNU's ISP is a 5-week intensive program that combines academics with cultural immersion and social engagement. Students can choose from a diverse range of courses taught completely in English while participating in hands-on cultural experiences, field trips, and community outreach initiatives. The program is open to both international and SNU students offering an opportunity for cultural understanding and lifelong connections.

  • SNU credit = 1 UBC credit

Course load information

  • Take up to 3 courses (9 SNU credits total). Courses are typically worth 2-3 SNU credits

Transfer credit

UBCV Students: Only pre-approved Economics courses will receive ECON credit from the Vancouver School of Economics. All other economics courses will be awarded general Arts credits. To find a list of pre-approved ECON courses, please use the Course Search Tool.  Please consult your Academic Advisor if you are planning to take or transfer ECON courses from your summer experience.

If you don't see a particular course you listed, it simply means you need to submit it as a new course request through the Transfer Credit Portal while on your Go Global experience.
