About the program

The Globex Julmester program offered by the College of Engineering at Peking University welcomes international students from all over the world to study at PKU together for an intensive 3-week period during the summer. Topics of study will be focused on science and engineering; there is limited coursework in Chinese studies.

More specific and finalized program details can be found on the partner institution's website. However, you must apply through Go Global to be considered for this program and ensure you follow the appropriate transfer credit process.

Who can go?

  • All applicants must meet Go Global eligibility requirements
  • Available to students with Chinese citizenship (this summer program does not have the same citizenship restrictions as winter session term-based exchange at Peking University)

This program has limited enrolment so all applications will be assessed competitively based on cumulative GPA and your Go Global Personal Reflection.

  • Spaces for the exchange pathway (i.e. pay UBC tuition) are limited and will be allocated to Faculty of Applied Science students only
  • Students from all other faculties will be considered for the study abroad pathway (pay tuition directly to the partner institution), however participation via study abroad is not guaranteed due to limited enrolment
