About the program

NTU offers 5 different study tracks during the summer. Students can take courses from multiple tracks if the timetables work. The 5 tracks are:

Language & Cultural Studies
Learn Malay and Chinese language

Entrepreneurship & Innovation
Develop fundamental entrepreneurship competencies, business acumen and stamina to build and grow businesses.

Creative Design & Media
Learn various aspects of visual arts, including watercolor painting, digital media, drawing, communication design, international art perspectives, and contemporary global art concerns.

Success in the Globalised Marketplace
Offers a diverse range of courses from different disciplines all designed to support students to gain all-round insights into the global skillsets required for today’s competitive market place.

New Technologies, New World
Learn about new technologies such as bioprinting and their processes and applications to today's world.

Who can go?

  • All applicants must meet Go Global eligibility requirements
  • You must have a minimum cumulative average of 2.0/4.0
  • Students of Singapore Citizenship/Singapore Permanent Residency may not be eligible to apply, unless they are given special permission by NTU. Please contact Go Global if you require assistance with this matter

There are a limited number of spaces for students who wish to participate via summer exchange (i.e. pay UBC tuition), so applications for this pathway will be assessed on a competitive basis. Students not selected for exchange may still be able to participiate via the study abroad pathway (i.e. pay the partner institution directly).

Course equivalency formula

  • 1 AU credit = 1 UBC credit 

Course load information

  • Take up to 2 courses within each track or across different tracks. Courses are worth 3 or 4 AUs

Transfer credit

Check out the courses that previous students have transferred back to UBC in the last 5 years using our Course Search Tool. If you don't see a particular course you listed, it simply means you need to submit it as a new course request through the Transfer Credit Portal while on your Go Global experience. Not all courses listed are offered through the summer program at this partner institution. The tool is for reference only–research the partner's website for actual course offerings.
